Commercial Lines Sales Consultant

Department: Commercial Lines
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Summary

Under the direction of the President; create and maintain a book of business by soliciting, developing, marketing, and selling new and renewal business in accordance with applicable state insurance regulations specifically focusing on the construction industry; work closely with the Account Executives, Account Managers, and Client Service Specialist to handle your clients’ needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a network of prospects by various methods including but not limited to cold calling, referrals, industry and special interest groups, in addition to actively prospecting new business opportunities by similar methods, specifically focusing on the construction industry
  • Providing efficient, professional, courteous service to clients in conjunction with Account Executives, Account Managers and Claims Consultants
  • Work closely with service teams to review carrier proposals, analyze market summaries, and prepare renewal documents ensuring timeframes and deliverables are met
  • Maintain existing book and current client relationships
  • Stay informed of industry trends including carrier appetites & relationships, and manage expectations with clients
  • Conducts risk management audits in conjunction with a client team. Ensure timeframes and deliverables are met in the sales process. Transition new accounts to the client team seamlessly
  • Achieving annual sales goal at or above agency standards

Certificates/Licenses/Education:

Property & Casualty Insurance License Desired

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Valid Drivers License Required
